Katie & Scott

This was a Saratoga Hotel cake. It was 198 servings and was a mix of flavors. The leaves & topper were made of gum paste. The borders, leaves and topper were hand-painted with edible gold paint. The cake took plenty of time to create and I hope they enjoyed it.

Leanna & Kai

They were married on Saturday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hudson Falls, NY. The cake serves 92 and was mostly chocolate. This was one time that I got to see the bride and her reaction to her cake. I think she was quite pleased.

Sarah & George

The last cake from the big weekend. This picture is courtesy of Sarah's cousin, Sean Fader. Sarah & George were married on Saturday, October 6 at Lanzi's in Mayfield, NY. Their cake was all chocolate with white chocolate-raspberry mousse filling and served 100.

Jaime & Geoff

This is my favorite cake now, not that I don't like all the previous cakes, but I am very pleased with how it turned out. Jaime and Geoff brought me a picture and asked me to re-create it. I hope I've done as asked. They were married at a beautiful place on Lake George (The Lake George Club) on Saturday. The cake served 172 and fit in nicely with the 'lodge' decor.

Sarah & Clay

These two were married on Sunday at the Ballston Spa Country Club. (This is the last Sarah of the weekend...) This served 92 and was yellow and chocolate cake. Fall is a great time to be married and they had a beautiful day for it.

Sara

They were married on Sunday in the Saratoga State Park. This was a smaller cake (50 servings) with a 1/2 sheet on the side. I just love the fall colors!

Marci & Phillip

Marci brought me a picture and said, "I want this cake". I love it when the brides do their homework. This reception was held at the Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park. It served 152 and was a mix of flavors and fillings. The topper is a pair of ducks and is a Korean tradition. When the couple is happy, the ducks are facing each other. When they are upset, they turn their duck away. (My duck would be in another room some days...) I can't wait to hear if the cake was as expected.

Karin & Bob

Karin came to me a week ago in a panic. Her cake decorator was sick and would not be able to do her cake. I hope she was pleased with the replacement. Her cake went to The Gideon and it served 74.

Sarah & Sean

This cake went to The Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls. It served 118 and was carrot, chocolate and yellow with the leaves made of gumpaste. I really liked the topper too.

What A Weekend!!!

I had eight cakes this weekend! I'll start with the groom's cakes from Friday...
First we have Christopher's cake. He was in the Navy and his bride, Hillary, wanted a special cake for the rehearsal. It was carrot cake and served 35.

Then we have Phillip's cake. He loves football and the Giants, so a football-shaped cake for this boy. It was chocolate with chocolate-peanut butter mousse and served 20-30. You'll see their wedding cake soon...

Lindsey & Luke

Three weeks ago, Lindsey found out that the bakery making her cake was breaking contracts with their brides. Lucky for her, the reception was at The Saratoga where I now do the cakes. Everyone was happy! This cake serves 74 and the flowers were from The Posie Peddler.

Allison & Rob

They were married on Saturday at The Cresthaven Lodge in Lake George. She said the cake was amazing and better than any wedding cake she's ever had. It served 122.

Mike's Cake

As promised, here is Mike's groom's cake. A football with the Syracuse University logo. Thanks to Marci for the photo (I'm making her wedding cake on Saturday).
